Forty years ago, Suzy Lamplugh left work to meet a client and never came home. She was 25.

BBC Breakfast this morning revisited the investigation, but kept at its centre what matters most: Suzy herself, the daughter, sister and friend her family still love and remember.

From that devastating loss, the Suzy Lamplugh Trust has built a vital legacy, supporting victims of stalking, improving personal safety and campaigning for change.

I have received support from the Trust myself in my life and know the care and seriousness they bring to people who are frightened, at risk or looking for support.

Forty years on, Suzy is more than an unsolved case. Her life mattered and her legacy continues protects others.

Mochi is 7yrs old and terrified of everyone human that comes near.
Half her life taken up with anxiety and fear.
It won’t be easy finding such a scared girl a home so if you can share it would help her immensely 🙏🏻

Monkey nut 🥜 is a two year old galgo and is nothing short of spectacular 😍
He’s sociable, great with other dogs, lovely on a lead and cuddly.
You might think, well why hasn’t he been snapped up?
Well, he’s a black boy with leishmania limiting hugely his chances of adoption.

Urgent home for Ben 📣
If you have experience and are looking to adopt then please consider Ben.
Ben was picked up recently and had clearly been neglected emotionally by his previous owner, a Galguero.
He pees himself with fear and recovering in a shelter isn’t always easy although we always do our best and have had many successes.
A home tho is the dream for Ben 🙏🏻
Approx 3yrs old, he’s hopefully going to have a wonderful future if you can help share him 🙏🏻❤️

POOR AMBER 💔💔💔
Our poor Amber is back at the vet today.
We believe she may have suffered a small stroke or another medical issue💔. We don't think it's heat-related, as we've been keeping her cool, making sure she has plenty of fresh water, and doing everything we can to keep her comfortable.
She is the sweetest girl, and our hearts are breaking for her. After spending so long in kennels, all we want is for Amber to experience the comfort of a loving home. 💔❤️
Right now, more than anything, she deserves a soft couch, gentle care, and people around her who will give her the love she has craves 💔❤️

New boy Silver was found on the streets.
He’s around 8yrs old, super sweet and calm but a little bit shy with more boisterous dogs.
I’m sure that will pass quickly tho.

Sillero is a quiet boy around 4yrs old.
He walks gently on a lead, is good with other dogs, isn’t reactive or a barker in the centre… he’s just adorable ❤️
Sillero had to have his spleen removed but can live a good normal life.
He’s a nice easy addition to any existing group of dogs and may also be fine as an only dog.
He’s just a real sweetie 🥰

Freida is just 18mths old and looking for a home.
As a young sociable female we are surprised she’s not been snapped up.
She’s wonderful on a lead, great with other dogs and caring towards people 😍

Merida and the dilemma she faces.
Merida came in with a broken leg. It’s been a battle and in a home it will definitely improve with consistent walking and routine.
It’s not 100% perfect and for that reason she can’t get a home. If we were amputate she would likely fly out.
Knowing she would get a home quicker with 3 legs is sad. Her four legs are not perfect but it’s not bad enough for three legs.
She’s inbetween and keeping the leg might just well keep her in a kennel for more years to come.
That’s why we need you to share… someone out there will except Merida and her limp now and again 🙏🏻❤️

Lupa was left at Protectora Animales USKAR at 11yrs old.
Now 12yrs she’s struggled to find a home.
A 12yr old shouldn’t be in a kennel.
She doesn’t look it does she? However we have the original passport. I might have doubted myself.
Any chance of a share? Can we get her out quickly? She’s adorable ❤️

Yep, meet Wallaby the galgo.
He’s just 11mths old and is cheeky enough to know he deserves a wonderful home.
He’s playful, fun, cheeky, wonderful and adorable.
He pulls a bit on the lead so a bit of practice is needed.

Coming back to Walnut 😍
We really want to push him for a home as he’s sooo sooooo ready.
Walnut was exported from Ireland to Spain. He was then dropped off at a shelter in Murcia & leishmania positive.
He’s been treated for that and we will retest soon.
He’s a big strong boy, calm as a cucumber 🥒 and would suit any first time adopter or retiree that wants company, gentle strolls and off course the odd blow out in a big fenced area or garden.
He’s absolutely wonderful 😍

Filbert says he’s fed up of waiting for a home.
He’s heard all about the sweet life and he thinks it’s time he had a taste of it.
Filbert is 4yrs old and was a bit shy when he came.
He’s still cautious but is doing well now.
He’s a fuzzy boy with a Roman nose… what’s not to love? 😍

Harlequin is 5yrs old and one of our longest stayers now.
He is desperate for a home!
He’s grown a lot in confidence, he loves to play now and go out on walks.
This November it will be 3yrs. We can’t let that happen.
He’s adorable 😍
