Canada-Based Nigerian Doctor Zo Claims Some Nigerians Have Been Bur!ed Alive Due to Lack of Medical Equipment in Hospitals
A Canada-based Nigerian doctor, Zo, has claimed that some Nigerians may have been wrongly declared de@d due to inadequate medical equipment in hospitals.
โIโm saying this as someone who has worked in the healthcare system in Nigeria. I have never seen an AED in a hospital in Nigeria when I was working there. Some doctors in Nigeria check whether someone is dead when the person stops breathing. If there is still a pulse or blood pressure, they may raise the personโs hand three times and immediately declare them de@d,โ he said.
Zo made the remarks while responding to a Nigerian who commented on his previous post, arguing that an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) cannot prevent de@th when someoneโs time has come.
He also recalled how a 12-year-old boy l0st his life years ago while he was working at a hospital in Abia State, due to a lack of necessary medical equipment.
Responding to those urging him to buy the equipment for Nigerian hospitals, Zo said he would not do so, insisting that Nigerians should vote for the right leaders, specifically mentioning NDC presidential candidate Mr Peter Obi.
He also cited Burkina Faso as an example, arguing that the country has recorded improvements in its healthcare system under good leadership in less than four years.
Nigerians are not aware that a tax law has been passed, which requires everyone to pay 25% of their earnings as tax. The National Assembly has already passed this law, and it will swing into action after the election.

A litre of fuel in Libya costs โฆ32, while the minimum wage in the country is $208, which is roughly โฆ276,000. In Saudi Arabia, a litre of fuel costs approximately โฆ823, while the estimated monthly minimum wage is โฆ1.4 million. Norway, another oil-producing country, provides its citizens with numerous benefits funded by the proceeds from its oil revenues. In Nigeria, however, the minimum wage is โฆ70,000, while a litre of fuel costs between โฆ1,300 and โฆ1,900 in some places. That minimum wage amounts to a mere $52, a young chap flipping burgers at McDonald's in the US makes more than a Nigerian bank manager. Anyone earning โฆ100,000 a month in Nigeria is still struggling to make ends meet and may be closer to the poverty line than their counterparts in these countries. But does the President care? How does he even sleep at night, knowing that millions of Nigerians are struggling to survive in a country blessed with abundant natural resources?
