Today—127 years ago—Australia suffered its deadliest natural disaster ever: Cyclone Mahina, a monstrous beast of nature, slammed into Bathurst Bay on the remote Cape York Peninsula in colonial Queensland on 4 March 1899, claiming over 400 lives in a single, terrifying night.

Yet today, alarmists claim that back in 1899 the climate was “safe and stable" because we hadn’t built a single coal-fired power station.

Tell that to the victims of Mahina.

This wasn’t just Australia’s most ferocious cyclone on record: it stands as potentially the most intense tropical cyclone ever to make landfall anywhere on Earth—a cataclysm that would dwarf anything in modern records.

Eyewitness Constable J. M. Kenny described a terrifying 15-metre (48-foot) storm surge roaring over their camp at Barrow Point and surging 4.8 kilometres inland.

That remains the largest storm surge ever documented in history.

The aftermath was apocalyptic: thousands of fish, sharks, and dolphins hurled several kilometres inland; rocks driven like bullets into trees and bushes; and on Flinders Island, dolphins flung atop 15.2-metre cliffs by unimaginable waves.

This wasn’t climate “change”—it was nature at its raw, unstoppable worst, long before humans supposedly “broke” the weather.

Yet don’t hold your breath waiting for our schools to teach this history or acknowledge the anniversary Australia’s most deadly natural disaster.

The climate alarmist industry has buried it deep—because an informed Australian public is their greatest threat.

They need children ignorant, scared, and compliant, so they can keep peddling the myth that today’s weather is “more extreme” than ever before.

The truth is staring us in the face: cyclones like Mahina prove nature has always been capable of unimaginable fury.

But thankfully the climate change we‘ve experienced since 1899 has made us far safer as there has been a decline in the number of cyclones (both severve & non serve) striking Australia.

Thank you climate change for making us safer.

Since 2000, CO₂ has fueled a 35–40% jump in global food production. NASA has confirmed 5.5 million km² of new green leaf area - twice the area of the Amazon Rainforest. What an amazing dividend for life on Earth.

For millennia, the Earth has been in a CO₂ famine, hitting 180 ppm only 20,000 years ago, when plant life begins to die. In pre-industrial times CO₂ reached 280 ppm, which wasn't a perfect balance for life either. Today's 427 ppm is the fuel that has pulled the biosphere back from the brink.

Despite this global greening, sovereign debt in 2026 is still exploding to fund net zero mandates. We are mortgaging the future to fight a Code Red crusade that even the satellites can't even find anymore. We were being told to fear the same gas has turned the Sahara green (with an 8% reduction in desert area).
