@TheUnseenRealmx Great question, there are countless possibilities. But I think that an attack on the power grid would be among the worst things that could happen. The subsequent domino effect would be sheer disaster like we’ve never seen
While everyone speculates what this means in terms of if “something” is coming, we should probably also be asking why this wasn’t done decades ago. Our military hasn’t been prepared for a “shit hit the fan” scenario?
This is why I’m a “prepper”, and you should be too.
I was all excited to finally try Shake Shack. I chose the single-patty avocado bacon burger, paid $11.49+ tax.
I can’t believe how pitifully SMALL this is!! I mean come on, this is false advertisement!! 🍔😭
@stigemup They charge cleaning fees, and then make you do virtually all the cleaning! So Airbnb changed the policy and now many of the hosts are complaining about it online :/
Btw, the greed of Airbnbs haven’t just ruined the hospitality business by making everyone do their house chores for them while they pocket the cleaning fees.
They’ve also made home rentals unaffordable in cities throughout the world. I was just in Athens, and the local tour guide explained that the younger demographic can no longer afford to live in the same neighborhoods where their families have lived for generations. A gentlemen from Venice said the same thing happened there too, it’s happened everywhere.
The big Airbnb [pseudo] industry deserves its pending implosion. Good riddance 👋🏻
@Apkalluu Hahaha, I remember that. He really brought light to the fact they they have cameras all over their properties too….its creepy. I love Tim Dillon 🙌🏻
@LuCyprus They’ve concluded their study for the season, and the samples are on their way to be tested! We’ll likely know more this winter. I’ll be sure to post about it!
We were all taught that the Ancient Greeks created Democracy 2,500 years ago. But do you want to see something cool af that most people aren’t aware of?
This stone-cut platform located on Pnyx Hill in Athens, is the EXACT SPOT where Democracy was born in ~507BC.
Notice the Acropolis in the background. This is the place where several thousand people first assembled and essentially introduced freedom of speech, and voted on matters with the general public. This is where it happened, and the view they had when they did it. How freaking cool is that?
@knightschool67@oldbooksguy Yes! They’ve finally cleared much of the dreadful scaffolding that was there for years. So glad I got to see it without it. But, there is still a lot of crap in the way from the work they’re still doing. I’ll make a post about it soon!
Did you know that The Parthenon of ancient Athens was built with virtually no perfectly straight lines or right angles? It’s one giant optical illusion, purposely built to look symmetrical to the human eye. But for that to happen, they needed to literally make it imperfect. For example:
- The giant columns lean slightly inward (if extended, they would finally meet roughly a mile above the building 🤯)
- The columns are not perfectly straight. They were designed with a mid-shaft bulge/swelling, preventing the appearance of being concave (as our eyes/brains would fool us to think it appeared flawed, despite )
- The four corner columns of the structure are thicker and set closer together than all the others; furthering the imperfection of the buildings symmetry
- The top platform curves slightly upward towards the center, instead of remaining perfectly horizontal
These various architectural design features were done deliberately to make the building appear perfectly proportioned to the human eye. In other words, this is a profound example of wildly brilliant architecture that was developed by ancient geniuses 🏛️
This 💯. We’re regressing as a civilization.
Ancient Government buildings ~2,500 years ago > Hideous soulless replica crap they spend a billion dollars to “construct” today.
We could not build this today, not for lack of skill or effort.
The red tape, corrupt permit dispensaries, and dipshit inspectors would never allow it.
It's to beautiful.
Miano, you really have no clue what you’re talking about in regards to Yonaguni, and the Durupinar site. Especially on the later. The scientific testing results aren’t even back yet, and you’re prematurely making conclusions? How scholarly of you. Even if you’re right, you’re operating with wishful thinking from the mind of a naysayer.
Perhaps it’s time you stick to the boring wikipedia classical history stuff that you actually know? But then again, click-farming is your forte :/
