I celebrated the Lunar New Year by rescuing this Hognose Snake. He might look like a baby but he's actually FIVE years old!

He was very loved but very underfed in his previous home and has gained 10% of his body weight in just one week! 🐍🛟

Last week I faced my fear and took my first flight as a wheelchair user.

My chair did not get broken, I was able to go to the loo during the flight and I wasn't stranded on the plane afterwards.

Just some of the many things predisabled people never have to consider...

I love you Olivia Colman and I think you're amazing but I strongly disagree.

They save so much time and money for actors and casting directors and are a great step towards equal opportunities for the disabled community.

I believe actors should be give a choice if possible.

How is it ‘disrespectful’ or ‘really rude’ for a casting director to offer an actor an opportunity to land a job, often worth £thousands (or hundreds of £thousands in Olivia’s case) in their own time, from their own home? 🤷🏻‍♂️

If you don’t want the opportunity, just politely decline the tape - it’s simple.

Tapes are saving actors £hundreds in train fares and opening up casting to disabled artists all over the country, who may be unable to travel at short notice.

The net positives, far outweigh the negatives from the feedback I get from most actors - and recalls are still almost always in the room.

For a first round, tapes are highly efficient and give CD’s scope to take many more risks on unknown talent.

Being in the room is great, but to call self-tapes ‘disrespectful’ and ‘rude’ are the wrong adjectives here.
