Godfrey Karembera has been arbitrarily detained since his arrest on 20 October 2025. He is being charged with ‘incitement to commit public violence for allegedly distributing fliers ahead of a march that was scheduled for 17 October 2025. He is yet to go on trial.
Authorities must immediately and unconditionally release Godfrey Karembera and drop the charges against him.
