Today marks the beginning of the Brigshaw Festival of Transition. Brigshaw staff are looking forward to visiting Year 6 pupils at Kippax Ashtree, Kippax North, Methley, Great Preston, Swillington and Allerton Bywater today!
A surprise guest was spotted at the German Bundestag today, but the little raccoon (or Waschbär, as we say in German) couldn't find its way out.
With a little help from colleagues, the cute visitor was brought safely back to nature.
Thinking of half of our Year 11 German cohort tonight who will be conducting their speaking exam tomorrow. Viel Glück! You have worked so hard for this!! 🙌🏽🇩🇪 ☺️
Brigshaw Staff Ski Team 2023 ⛷️ We have had the most fabulous week and have loved every minute skiing (and singing karaoke 😆) with Brigshaw pupils. #proudteachers @BrigshawPE @BrigshawMfl
Happy #AprilFoolsDay!
April Fools Day originated in #France due to calendars switching. People who failed to recognise the change were called ‘April Fools’. The typical French April Fools #prank consists of discreetly attaching a paper fish to the back of your unknowing victim…
In Hamburg Their Majesties laid flowers at the memorial "Kindertransport – the final farewell".
A wreath-laying ceremony followed at St. Nikolai Memorial.
It was formerly one of Hamburg’s main churches and was destroyed during a bombing attack in 1943. #RoyalVisitGermany
This is what students have brought in just today! There are three layers of eggs! How wonderful when the community works together. All eggs collected are going to the Kippax Community Pantry tomorrow
To promote German language learning abroad, Germany is contemplating asking tourists to say a German word at border control.
The word is to be picked at random from a list prepared by linguistic specialists, including:
🗣️ Eichhörnchen
🗣️ Quietscheentchen
🗣️ Gewürzgurke
