100% parent-driven organization focused on safely bringing our children back fully into the Westwood classrooms while allowing full remote for those who chose.
“We can always do things to reduce our risks further,” Dr. Marr said. “But at some point, you reach diminishing returns, and you have to think about the costs of trying to achieve those additional risk reductions.”
@JennBinis I am confused. What is your concern about people advocating to follow science? Don’t you think they will continue to advocate in the same way when schools open? We believe in science and data. #openschools
Breaking: @fcpsnews Fairfax VA superintendent @FCPSSupt rejects 4 days in person this spring not because of science

“guidance from last summer was that all of the districts had to submit 3 plans: full in-person, full remote & hybrid. Now, they should be implementing those (full in-person) plans”
“Bring Back Kids MA, a group representing thousands of parents statewide is opposed to any delays in a full-time return to in-person learning due to the academic, social, emotional and physical impacts remote learning has had on children." https://t.co/6aaBswRRiB
Exactly this: we have focused so myopically on one risk — & a 3 feet delta within that risk — that even the @CDCgov “forgot” to consider how steps taken to reduce that one risk will greatly increase other risks.

We need a plan for high schoolers - just because they’re older, it doesn’t mean they’ve suffered any less. Shout out to these parents for keeping the advocacy going - we are not done!
Open letter @massteacher President from a fellow union member "it is worth stating that your opposition to the medical consensus on the risks involved in in-person teaching contributes to the mistrust in science, which is surely not the goal of the schools you represent."
