Horrible take. Don't be a compulsive contrarian.
You don't have to twist reality to make it fit into your politics. You can just let things be.
Saying Dhurandhar and Alpha are somewhat in the same conversation is an insult to any sincere writer/director who dared to create an original story and have his or her vision executed on the silver screen.
Its like saying Bahubali and the Akshay Kumar starrer Prithviraj or the Arjun Kapoor starrer Panipat are two sides of the same coin as they are all period drama movies and Akshay kumar's or Arjun Kapoor's films shouldn't be criticised because they all took creative liberties. Even if you watched the trailer of Prithviraj or Panipat, you'd realise that these are not sincere stories. These are formulae. Period drama films were working. So lets cook something and get a big star and see what happens.
There is no over arching vision in any of these films. That's what the YRF is going through with its spy universe or whatever they call themselves.
Would you take the name of Gravity and Akshay Kumar's Mangalyan in the same breath? Even though they are both sci-fi films? No you don’t. Because one is a movie where the writer and director is asking some fundamental question about life and our place in the universe. The other is a remix of the 15 most popular cliches of the year.
If you reward mediocrity, you will get mediocrity. And lets behave like mature adults who enjoy cinema as opposed to petty partisan hacks whose whole lives revolve around politics. You can do better.
A number of responses here are shocked, shocked! that I could say that Alexander was only great at killing, but if you challenge them to say what else he was great at...they mostly sputter.
So was Alexander great at things other than warfare and killing? 1/
Another thing to note is that, the faster they grew the harder they fell. Like the Maratha Empire were kinda short lived (1674-1818), compared to other traditional powers. Why is that
Richard Wellesley almost gave away the reason in a letter. Fix Daulat Rao Shinde. When Shinde fell in 1803, India fell with him. How and why that happened is academic but irrelevant.
And as to Marathas. Its sheet hard work. They bankrupted the Mughals and replaced them de facto(not de jure). The de jure thing softened the blow for taking over the vassals.

@_claypot Exactly, these ppl will cry no matter what. Yes the final season was not as good as the first 3 seasons, but it was not as bad as these ppl project. Ppl will hate it no matter how it ends, you can never satisfy them.
I don't care what anybody says, TheBoys finale was good. Completing both Butcher & Homelander's arc really well.
Soo satisfying to see Butcher carving out Homelander's brain with a crowbar
