I moved a motion today in @brisbanecityqld that Council use its Bushland Acquisition Fund to purchase 264 Pine Mountain Rd Carina Heights.

The site is ‘designated conservation area of an endangered species’.

I have serious concerns that the Temporary Local Planning Instrument for the Kurilpa Precinct proposed by Schrinner and the LNP has not been designed in order to achieve genuine long-term outcomes for housing affordability.

Brisbane residents are paying more but getting less from Schrinner and the LNP. Whether it's poor workers rights or basic service delivery, conservative Councils are failing residents.

It's always great to speak to party members, and the union movement at ALP state conference.

Brisbane is to be one of the most unwalkable cities in Australia. Over 40% (or 6000) of our suburban streets have no formed footpaths. LNP Mayor Adrian Schrinner has spent years in charge of Council’s finances and it’s active transport programs and he’s failed spectacularly.

Today in Council, Adrian Schrinner and the LNP refused to support The Voice to Parliament, joining Peter Dutton and Pauline Hanson in Canberra and standing in the way of constitutional recognition for First Nations people.

Adrian Schrinner, Brisbane's LNP Mayor, has this evening joined the likes of Peter Dutton and Pauline Hanson in refusing to support a Yes vote in the referendum for a Constitutionally enshrined Voice for Aboriginal and Torres Strait islander people.
