@Lee_FinalVer It was never a prerequisite. In the 80s 'bears' were the term used to describe anyone whos body didn't fit the more stereotypical twink-ish aesthetic. Could be fat, muscled, old, or just hairy. It wasn't until later that all of the other labels like chub and otter appeared.
