Lots of excitement at🫧BUBL🫧 today as we start the third wave of our Longitudinal Executive and Attentional Functions (LEAF) study with this sweet 2-year-old!
Last month, BUBL PhD Candidate @BethanyBiggs6 presented a poster at #ICIS2024 on some of the work she is doing looking at maternal depressive symptom trajectories and early childhood inhibitory control development. (Full abstract at https://t.co/CIs6RGSdsF)

@dr_emmacoombe Hi, thanks for getting in touch! Unfortunately, your little one is slightly too old to participate at this time - in July we will only be recruiting 24-month-olds for the pilot study and 10-month-olds for the longitudinal study. Thank you anyway for your interest :)
These last couple of weeks have marked another big milestone in the LEAF study: we have started "pilot testing" with 2-year-olds (I don't think we can call them baby scientists anymore!) 😁🩵

If your little one is going to be 2 years old in July, and you are interested in taking part in the pilot phase of the LEAF study, please send us an email: [email protected] or complete this expression of interest form: https://t.co/vrQiGkDEyB 🙋
[Thread 4/4] #BabyLab
We will be pilot testing with 2-year-olds for the next few months, as we get ready to welcome back our first 2-year-old longitudinal participants in August! 🤗

Please share this advert with anyone you know who might be interested in participating. The study is open to anyone who lives in the UK, is fluent in English, and has a child aged 5 to 13. Thank you! 😀

Meet Asha!🤩
Asha joined the team in September and is another one of our brilliant placement students! Asha is currently studying Psychology at the University of Bath. Outside the Lab, Asha enjoys singing, playing the piano, travelling, trying new foods, fashion, and gaming!🎹🎮
Beth is originally from Staffordshire and joined the Baby Lab because of her interest in child development. In her spare time Beth loves reading, painting, video games, hikes and binge watching TV shows!🎨⛰️📺

Meet the team...
🤩Beth Robson!🤩
Beth is a third-year undergraduate psychology student from the University of Bath. Beth joined the team in August last year and is one of our fabulous placement students! She is a superstar and we love having her on the team!🎓❤️
We know that families commit a lot of time to our research - we appreciate this commitment so much and feel so lucky to have such an enthusiastic cohort of participants! Thanks again to everyone that has participated in our study so far or signed up to participate in the future.
Thank you to one of our participants for providing this lovely feedback on their experience of being part of the LEAF study!
It means a lot to us to know that families enjoy being part of our study (possibly even as much as we enjoy running it?!)🥰
We are still recruiting families to take part in the LEAF study!

Merry Christmas from the Bristol University Baby Lab! 🎅🎄
The lab will be closed until Wednesday 3rd January, to give all our scientists a well deserved break!
We hope everyone has a lovely Christmas and we are looking forward to more testing and fun in the lab in 2024! ⭐
It has been lovely to see families again, 6 months after their first visit to the Baby Lab, and we are looking forward to seeing more families for their 16-month sessions in the New Year! 🥳
