MD, PhD, SFHEA. Principal Lecturer, Deputy Director of EdTech, Coordinator of Body Donation Programme, Lead in Anatomy Education, HKUMed. Living a happy life.
✨ Yesterday we kicked off the first Conversations & Connections (C&C) seminar of the new academic year! ✨
We were delighted to welcome Dr Jian Yang, Principal Lecturer at the School of Biomedical Sciences @hkusbms and Coordinator of the HKU Body Donation Programme, and Dr Albert Ng, Senior Medical & Health Officer at the Department of Health and a #HKUMed alumnus, as our guest speakers. The session was moderated by Dr Nicolette Ray.
Through the discussion, we gained valuable insights into the current situation of organ and body donation in Hong Kong, the factors that affect willingness to participate, effective communication strategies, and answers to common questions surrounding donation. It was a meaningful conversation on life and death—one of the core themes of the Medical Humanities programme. We also learned more about how the Body Donation Programme supports #MBBS teaching and heard MBBS students share their heartfelt appreciation for the Great Body Teachers.

NeurIPS acknowledges that the cultural generalization made by the keynote speaker today reinforces implicit biases by making generalisations about Chinese scholars. This is not what NeurIPS stands for. NeurIPS is dedicated to being a safe space for all of us. We want to address the comment made during the invited talk this afternoon, as it is something that NeurIPS does not condone and it doesn't align with our code of conduct. We are addressing this issue with the speaker directly.
NeurIPS is dedicated to being a diverse and inclusive place where everyone is treated equally.
Marvelous! Fortune's gift it is! We are thrilled to announce that in the 2024 #GoldenJoystickAwards , #BlackMythWukong won two prestigious awards:
Ultimate Game of the Year
Best Visual Design
The fact that the final voting stage of the Golden Joystick Awards is completely determined by the players makes this honor even more meaningful to us. We, Game Science, extend a heartfelt salute to you, the Destined Ones, for your enthusiam and ongoing support!
“I hope our future graduates will also explore innovation and technology, administration, create policy, and even train other medical professionals,” Dean of Medicine, Professor CS Lau, told prospective medical students at Information Day.

@GoldenJoysticks Who is too scared to even nominate Balck Myth for the game of the year? Is this still people’s choice award by not allowing people to vote?

We invited two HKUMed teachers and two medical students to our Techmezz to challenge their gaming ability and their anatomy knowledge.
