When someone as accomplished and impactful as @MichelleObama gets dragged on the internet for absolutely nothing, I always remember — this is the same woman who taught us, “When they go low, we go high.”
I admire her strength so much. Imagine dedicating your life to service and still having people reduce you to cruel, ignorant comments — even questioning your identity and womanhood. It’s beyond disrespectful.
I can relate to that feeling for different reasons — the experience of being underestimated, questioned, or judged before people ever see your work.
They say some of the best CEOs have a chip on their shoulder. Mine is this: I’m tired of watching underrepresented people have to constantly prove they belong because of their gender, skin color, background, or anything else that has nothing to do with their ability.
That’s the fuel. Build anyway. Lead anyway.
And to be clear — I’m not interested in letting other people define me.
I define myself.
I am a Black woman. At one point in my life, I described myself as mixed. My mother is Polish, Irish, and Syrian. My father is Black, among other things. All of those pieces are part of my story.
But what I’ve learned is that identity is personal. No one else gets to decide what box you fit into, what you are “enough” of, or what parts of yourself you’re allowed to claim.
I know who I am. I know where I come from. And I know what I’m building.
That same experience — of watching people question, minimize, or try to define others — is exactly why I care so deeply about creating spaces where people are judged by their impact, character, and work.

We had the privilege of working alongside Avenue GreenLight delivering pressure-washing services across 6+ neighborhoods throughout San Francisco.
Let's stop right now & trust God with all our hearts & mind. We claim we have Faith but we fear what today & tomorrow may bring us. We must Believe wholeheartedly that God has our best interest at heart & we will be great in all aspects. Let's Trust God & not what u see & hear. #CoachPrime
