The dead boy tries to open his eyes.
He wants to see the world he is leaving.
But there is nothing to see here,
nothing and nothing, and anyway he is gone.
His parents held him while he died
but they are both dead, too.
Or he held them, no one remembers.

Running to bring a new science kit to primary schools in Wellington! House of Science is a charitable trust that provides amazing kits to schools. A new ‘Forest Health’ kit is coming in 2025. Please donate to get this kit added to the library: https://t.co/VDugLY7lVb
Last weekend I ran the 50km Race Tekapo event and had the most amazing experience. Hubby and our 14 year old hiked the 12km course and also had a good time (especially after the climb up Mt John!). Here's how we got on: https://t.co/h9lpcQcJQ6
On 28 November be I’ll be running 50km, with over 2,500m elevation gain, hoping to raise funds for a ‘Forest Health’ kit for House of Science, to be enjoyed by thousands of children in Wellington schools:

Despite having the XY chromosomal makeup, girls with Swyer syndrome look female & have functional female genitalia & structures including a vagina, uterus & fallopian tubes.

When is there going to be an end to the short supply of menopausal hormone therapy patches?! Zoom pharmacy said they have no 50 or 100 patches, so I asked if they could give me 25 - & I’d just stick a couple on at a time - they said it will cost me $50 for one month’s supply!
Tahu-nui-ā-Rangi’ is the Māori word for the Aurora Australis. Māori believe that the aurorae are ancestors’ campfires reflected in the sky, emphasising universal belonging and spiritual connection.
It was cloudy by the time I went to look at the #auroraaustralis on Wellington’s south coast last night, but it was still beautiful to see dancing light beaming through the clouds and sea mist. The air was charged with sea spray and excitement.
