I thought it was common knowledge that the Security Service are nothing but civilians who gather public information on people and pass it onto relevant agencies. They do not need firearms to gather intelligence, nor are they allowed firearms- and yes we do have more jurisdiction.

Today, Counter Terrorism Officers from Met's SO15 deployed to stop terrorist threats at Buckingham Palace. We were successful and diverted a number of threats. God save the king.

Today was a terrible day for this country, I'm glad to see it's over.

The Met will continue to serve the public, unlike some other agencies today who made it their mission to cause chaos and divide between agencies.

👮‍♂️🚔🚨 Earlier today, Counter Terror Officers deployed to tackle terrorists in the Central London area. They apprehended 2 subjects involved in bombings in the capital- there were luckily only a small number of casualties.
