The facts. No spin.
23 March, 6:49am New York time: traders sell at least 6 million barrels' worth of Brent and WTI futures in a two minute window, more than eight times the usual volume for that hour. About 15 minutes later, Trump posts that he's holding off on striking Iran's power plants. Brent drops as much as 14%.
CFTC career analysts spot it and refer it to enforcement. Then, according to Bloomberg, an adviser to the Trump-appointed chairman tells them to retract the referral and takes over the data himself. By July the supervisor involved had left the agency.
To be fair: nobody has been charged, the CFTC says its enforcement probe is still open, the DOJ has a parallel inquiry, and a source close to the agency calls the reporting "false and malicious."
But when a regulator's own analysts raise a flag and a political adviser takes it down, people are entitled to ask why.
All traders are equal, but some get a fifteen minute head start.

If a member of Congress's staff changed her birthdate in public records, the public deserves a straight answer as to why. Not spin, not "racism", not silence.
Release the records, explain the change, and let investigators do their job. Same rules for everyone, powerful or not.

@ManCityAgenda@SkyNews@RobHarris Exactly this. Owners banking the TV money while 94% of clubs lose money is the whole story. The regulator should be judged on whether it stops that, not on Westminster politics.

£9 billion in. 94% of English clubs still losing money.
The Independent Football Regulator's draft State of the Game report calls English football the richest game on earth, but it's also living on the edge of financial disaster. Thirty-two clubs have less than 30 days' cash, and over a quarter wouldn't last a month if their owner walked away.
Richest. Best. Most competitive. And nearly everyone is bust on paper. Oh well.

The Saudi-led coalition says a Houthi ballistic missile aimed at Dhahran was intercepted and destroyed, and debris fell on a residential area.
Viral posts claiming Aramco HQ took a "direct hit" are not confirmed. Reuters sources heard loud booms near the HQ and reported an evacuation. Aramco hasn't confirmed any hit.
Dhahran is home to Aramco's headquarters, so oil markets will notice either way. And Trump has already floated joining Saudi's fight after the midterms.
Forever wars don't stay contained. Neither does the bill.

730 more Patriot missiles for Saudi Arabia, while Houthi missiles still get through. Every new arms deal gets sold as buying peace, and the region only gets more dangerous.
Britain should be selling no illusions and sending no troops. Keep us out of it.

The regulator's own State of the Game report found £9bn pumped in and 94% of clubs losing money. Football needs a regulator that's genuinely independent.
But David Kogan's past Labour donations are already on the record, so complaints about political interference cut both ways. Fans want clubs protected, not another Westminster turf war.
Oh well.

Skynet or Groknet, the soon-to-be superintelligence, is coming for us all. They're telling us that an AI will release a virus to kill billions or launch massive cyberattacks, but we must hand control to Bill Gates, the UN, WEF, etc., to stay safe. I think not. Gates, Obama and co., you can all go and fuck right off.
An investigation isn't a conviction, and the $30 million figure still has to be proven. But that's exactly why it needs finishing, in the open, with the evidence published either way.
We've heard "we're looking into it" about plenty of Washington figures before, and then nothing. Drain the swamp meant results, not soundbites. Charge it or clear it, but don't let it quietly disappear.

Axios reported last week that the Pentagon told CENTCOM to finish preparations for resuming major combat in Iran. On 8 October Trump said there would be no attack before the 3 November midterms. Israel votes on 27 October, and Israeli Channel 12 now says Netanyahu and Trump discussed a strike before that vote.
Meanwhile Moody's Analytics puts the cost of this war so far at about $265 billion for American consumers. That's roughly $2,000 per household, $1,100 of it on energy alone.
A third round is being pencilled in around two election calendars. The people paying for it get no say on the war or its timing.
War is peace. Terms and conditions apply after polling day.
