It’s really strange how normal and encouraged it is to have kids work hard at sports but not in the classroom. Everyone loves (and it’s good) for a kid to get red in the face, break a sweat, be out of breath, grimace to do push ups or sit ups…. But never should they feel or experience any discomfort or not be smiling to learn math or read or spell. It’s weird.
@ASoberLady I started teaching in the 80’s and we had a teacher like that.

@RogersHistory Teaching for 39 years. Still love teaching .Every year I find something different to do that makes teaching enjoyable.(Using Edtech, Stock Market Game, Mystery Skype,podcasting, and so much more!)
And of course the most important component , the kids.
