A2. Since I am not in a classroom setting yet, i am going to say what I will do, I will build relationships with all my students individually, and get to know what they enjoy outside of the classroom. #tlap
A1. I am currently a Junior at APSU hoping to teach 8th grade science, but if i were in a classroom now I would make sure that the student has all the support they need no matter the circumstances. #tlap
A5 If I were to leave my teaching job, I would want to be involved with underprivileged kids in some way, I just want to change kids lives and be there for a child who may not have anyone there for them at home! #ap3040
A3 I honestly wasn't surprised because as an edu. major you are told about how little teachers get paid almost on a daily basis. I feel like it needs to change but if it is something you really want to do I don't think that the income will stop you. #ap3040
A2 Definitely stay organized and make a system for yourself to follow before and after school. Also I would suggest to keep you school work at school as much as you can so when you get home you can relax. #ap3040
@MsLBinkley @MissDiamondJP YES!! Standardized testing is the main problems, because if you have students who don't test well it makes the teacher look as if they they didn't teach them anything that year, when in reality that's not the case at all.
A1 I think that teachers quit sometimes, because they didn't realize all of the "extra" work that went along with teaching. Also they get stressed because of THE test. #ap3040
A4 As a middle school teacher i would first talk with my team teachers who also teach the same student and see how he or she is in their room, if the thoughts are the same I would then immediately contact guidance to seek further info. since they are trained in that area. #ap3040
A3, Get down to their level, while everyone is busy working walk to them, crouch down and just talk to them, see whats going on. This is better then calling them out in front of everyone and sending them to the hallway. #ap3040
A2 In 7th grade I had a teacher that every 9weeks had her students decorate a plate she would hang it from her ceiling and every time they did something good she would hole punch it and if they had so many hole they would be rewarded at the end, definetly doing this! #ap3040
@TonyaBanuelos1 Tonya, I LOVE this idea! As a middle school teacher, that will be a lot of hellos and goodbyes but that would be a great way to interact with the students individually everyday!
