In 2025, @LP_Alabama was recruiting candidates for 2026 while developing tools to support ballot-access efforts and help local affiliates stay organized.

Building liberty takes infrastructure, not just election-year activity.

Identify strong members.
Encourage them to get involved.
Give them leadership experience.

Candidate recruitment should be a year-round effort, not a last-minute scramble.

This should never happen. Political parties should stop sending unsolicited absentee ballot request forms to voters’ homes.

If someone wants to vote absentee, they can request it themselves.

A NEW HIGH-WATER MARK

In 2022, @LP_Alabama Lt. Governor candidate Ruth Page-Nelson received 178,069 votes, or 15.6%.

The party’s chair called it a new high-water mark for an Alabama Libertarian candidate.
