@AB48420889@BuckeyeNatty 2/2 if you use your pelvic floor and core correctly with the “shotput” to transfer the energy through the push, it will feel weightless and like a sling. Gives direct feedback. obviously not a baseball throw but engages the right muscles w/o the strain of actually throwing.
@AB48420889@BuckeyeNatty To answer your question it is being used primarily to enforce lower half engagement throughout the entire movement pattern. When you shotput/throw the barbell, it gives direct feedback as to if you are using your lower half/core or not. If you are all arm, it will feel awkward1/2
Rio Britton (@FalCommodores | @NCStateBaseball | '23) impressed w/ 6 K in 5 INN last night. FB 90-92, 1-7 CB 80-82, downer SL 84-85 and a power CH 86-89 that acts like a bowling ball sinker. Young for the draft class and won't turn 21 until December

Rio Britton (‘23, Elig) has an absolutely electric heater out of the pen for the @NCStateBaseball tonight, sitting 92-94 and running it through hitters, goes to a mid-80s SL that is wipeout as well when down in the zone
Hard to find a time I’ve been more proud to be a coach. The Ducks competed as hard as any group I’ve ever been a part of... and it was necessary against an extremely tough UCSB group. If you’re going to be an @OregonBaseball Duck, you better want to COMPETE!
