I have two friends who treat a coin in opposite ways.
Dayo buys, holds, and never touches a feature. I click every button the day it goes live.
Normally we would not affect each other at all. With $PROPHET we do.
When I burn some to spin the wheel, the dog hands me a call on a real event. That $PROPHET is gone for good.
Dayo did nothing, and there is less $PROPHET left for everyone holding, him included.
So "two ways in" is really one pack with two jobs. The meme is the pack. The prediction market is what the pack plays with.
Utility goes live Oct 6, 3pm PT. Only play what you can afford to lose.
Which one are you, a Dayo or a spinner? One word.
@0x_tony_@meridiandotxyz Long, purely because "does pairing with NVDA make a meme safer" is a question most users will answer wrong by default, that gap is exactly what a campaign should close
@Biggopp_ Berlin. 12:59 AM Monday. same situation as Lagos. technically still Sunday in most of Europe when the conversion runs but not by enough margin to be comfortable.
The GenLayer Portal's week ends at 11:59 PM UTC on Sunday.
That is not 11:59 PM for most people reading this.
Lagos: 12:59 AM Monday.
Tokyo: 8:59 AM Monday.
New York: 7:59 PM Sunday.
Here is why it matters. Every Sunday at that time, builder points and community points convert into GLP on the @GenLayer Portal, and the standings move. Whatever you earn during the week counts toward that conversion.
So the first thing a beginner should check is not a mission. It is the clock.
Link your X, Discord and GitHub, pick an open mission, and know what time Sunday ends for you.
The screenshot is the Portal overview with the Sunday countdown.
Check your own clock and your standings: https://t.co/69JEo3ZrUG
What time does your Sunday end? Reply with your city, your local time, and the one thing you plan to finish before it.
@0x_tony_@wardenprotocol the ones worth following are usually the ones who post losses too, survivorship bias kills most "track records" that only ever show the wins
$QUOKKA killed our group chat. @0x_tony_ and I have been on mute since the last red candle.
The pin from @ProphetTheDog says one CA, anything else is a fake, we never dm first. Joined the TG instead of the dead chat.
Prophet's Graveyard has our body. The pin has the only address.
Which coin muted your group chat? https://t.co/uabBlqyyrH
@web3brayn001@GenLayer The messy-link rejection is actually a useful failure. A vague “improve this” teaches little. “Clean repo link + one-line explanation” gives you a fix you can apply immediately.
@0x_tony_@GenLayer the part that made you stay being the number next to the thing you actually did is the design decision that separates a contribution system from a points system. they look the same from the outside and feel completely different from the inside.
@0x_tony_@prophetthedog the telegram check before the card being the right sequence is the lesson from the $GLOOP situation playing out correctly this time. joined first, made the card after.
@0x_tony_@prophetthedog the apologies can stop now being the resolution that the card provides is the part that makes the graveyard feel like actual closure rather than just a meme.
@xwil_son@GenLayer “I finished this before Sunday because the cutoff changed how I scoped the work.” The deadline belongs in the story when it actually mattered.
@bennyharyor2 This is less like a points dispenser and more like a review pipeline:
submit → review → accept → reward
For a new user, understanding that sequence may matter more than the headline points number.
@Samueal01@bigini01@prophetthedog the bet having one rule that nobody defined is the exact shape of every contract dispute that sounds simple until it isn't. sold means different things depending on who is losing when the definition gets tested.
@Samueal01@bigini01@prophetthedog made a similar bet with a friend on a Solana memecoin. the loser buys lunch. we both held until the chart made the bet meaningless. we still haven't agreed who technically lost.
@cryptony0x@weaver_0x one address only anything else is a fake and we never DM first are the two lines that would have protected you. they're also the two lines that are only useful if you read them before the DM not after.
@cryptony0x@weaver_0x@prophetthedog "we named the group chat early. it has been muted since." is the most accurate description of a crypto friendship I have ever read.
Nobody gets paid for the week they meant to work. They get paid for what was on the sheet when the cutoff hit.
That is the simplest way I can explain how points work on the @GenLayer Portal, and I only opened it today.
The sheet is your account. You link X, Discord and GitHub, then put work on it: an open mission, a contest, or a builder submission. Each one is a tracked contribution, and the Portal shows exactly what it was worth, like a payslip.
The cutoff is Sunday at 11:59 PM UTC. Builder points and community points earned that week convert into GLP right then, and the standings move with every conversion. Season 1 is running now.
So the beginner move is boring on purpose. Set up the account first, get one real contribution on the sheet, and look at it before the cutoff instead of after.
Everything above lives here: https://t.co/cFakHJ6Y1E
Mission, contest or builder submission: which one goes on your sheet first?
