@pallnandi Any team can, even here in the world cup. The problem is that there is a certain mentality these guys have when they play big teams and when they play their peers. So that have an impact in the intensity or type of game they play. U may think they are weak kanti its the mentality
@JohnDoe_ZAR I hope South Africa is watching and seeing that even the great Brazil cannot deal with a team that is pressing quick. Its not easy to deal with a pressing team that doesnt give you space to think
@BabaKaMthofu3 The only right option here was to the 2 defenders. Passing Sithole was okay, but he was under pressure. So why pass someone who is under pressure. Watch this video in slow motion and see how under pressure Sithole was even if he trapped that ball
@MWTlali People also dont understand that as a footballer u can underestimate the level of space u have to receive the ball and do what u plan. Every midfielder does also now and then underestimate the amount of space and time they have. And like u said, the 1 second inbetween is proof
@Nkule__ No heโs being honest with himself. Maybe he wasnt before, but now he does. And if u want to challenge ur opponent, being honest with urself is the first step. Then thereafter u find a way to deal with what is a danger for u.
@MkhacaniSnr@JohnDoe_ZAR The difference is that in Psl u can do it and get out of it comfortably. However these are not Psl players and they know how to press you the correct way and make u cause errors. The standard between here and Psl is not the same. They must ask Barcelona
@MWTlali They dont understand how โPress Trigger/Trapโ works. They put u in a position that will make u think u have enough space only for them to be there as soon as the ball is passed to u
@LekoMadlala@MWTlali Its not a pattern. Its assuming what u do with Sundowns in Psl u can do with technically gifted international players. The quality of psl players and international players is not the same. So how u play around with this players cannot be the same as u do with psl players
@MWTlali My point is what he does with Sundowns in Psl against Psl teams u cannot do it here bcos these guys are different and they know how to disarm these type of situations. He is underestimating the quality of football at this level. This video is another proof
@Dumi_MkokstadSa You will quickly press and take the ball. Which is what happened here. Mexico set a press trap for Sithole and made him believe he has enough space to receive the ball and turn. Only for them to take it coz they had seen he is not good under some circumstances
@Dumi_MkokstadSa@Dumi_MkokstadSa u know u played football. There are instances where as an opponent u can spot a weak player u can capitalize on, u know they are not good on the ball or under pressure. Then u set a trap for them to get a ball in a position u know as soon as they do that..
@JohnDoe_ZAR Go rewatch the clip and check the number of seconds it took for the opponent to arrive. It took just 1 second between when William released the ball and when the opponent arrived to dismantle Sithole. Trap Triggers are meant to do just that. Make u believe u have space
@thomasmlambo Am sure if Mexico played Spain they would have lost. Am not sure if in Spain they play in the same Altitude as well or the Altitude only counts when its South Africa. There are many other countries that will play in the same Altitude and they will play better technically
@maestrongxabi@CBSSportsGolazo@PabloZane2@JOYPAULIAN@MikeLahoud True. If we are to compete in this tournament we need to know our strength and weaknesses and also know that of the opponents we playing. We cant assume we can beat anyone. U need to accept what the opponent is good at and then work on how to dismantle them in that area
@Taps1127720@AkanimiltonM I think what happened here in this game apart from the structure the coach set is our players also overestimating their technical ability to play pound for pound with Mexico in a very pressurising game. Our game plan was supposed to be different when we saw how they were pressing
