A difficult few weeks, and a sad end, but even in the depths of woes, there's always a profound reason to rejoice and give thanks.
Mum lives on in every soul she ever touched, and all of us her children - her earthly vessel may now be empty, but she is everlasting and ageless ❤
Sadly, we had to say a final farewell this evening to my extraordinary, loving, beautiful Mum.
She fought so bravely and stoically to the very end, but also with her ceaseless good humour, and tender care for everyone around her.
Goodnight, Mum - sleep well, you beautiful soul ❤
@Wayne_Pen_Owens@Dr_Robert_Lomas Last year there was a glut of crickets in the garden (and ours isn't even that big of a lawn).
This year, not one.
Not sure if the excessive rain and intemperate weather has been an hinderance to them 🤷♂️
@MaguirePete Back to the Victorian times, when it seems that many more Masons had a deeper appreciation, and inquisitive mind, for what we are a part of.
The fact that there's talk of Truth, is a massive indicator of how far away we are these days from where we were.
@saintoswald910 A pleasure indeed!
What a wonderful evening, and the Brethren worked together in absolute perfect harmony, to make it an exceptional ceremony for our new Fellowcraft.
Helen and I had a lovely time at the Lodge Calder Vale No.136 Christmas lunch yesterday - thanks go to WM Wendy Crow and all of the Brethren for the hospitality and entertainment.
@OrderWomen
Freemasonry holds interest for many reasons - some enjoy the social aspect, or the charitable giving. While some enjoy both of those elements, whilst in pursuit of a deeper meaning of life.
Disappointment lurks when we cater only to the former, and provide no home for the latter.
