@keenethery @coffee_1_1 What interest on savings? Look at all debt and and interest. Any extra cash should go to highest interest accumulating payments which are often credit cards or other loans. Used to be tax benefits from interest payments. Since 2018 not so much. Check for PMI

@SirGregory777 @coffee_1_1 Call the mortgage holder/lender. The loan could have been structured for early pay off or not. Years ago we simply paid ahead and marked what we were adding to principle on the bill. Most bills have places to@check what the extra money is for. You can do amazingly well.

@DarcyMad @coffee_1_1 Hopefully a fixer upper or move to a more affordable area just outside Austin or somewhere on the country you could love as much. I wish starter homes were more reasonable. Fixing is harder too because of supply chain issues and prices are going sky higher on materials.
