Built on heartbreak. Fueled by delusion. 😂
🦅 Eagles | ⚾ Phillies | 🏀 Sixers | 🏒 Flyers | ⚽ Union
Philly sports takes without the national-media nonsense.

Friday injury update 🦅
Good: Wicks (hammy) back at practice. Goedert & Baun a third straight day.
Bad: Barkley, DeVonta, Greenard, Kendall all DNP again — trending OUT for London.
Official designations later today. Who worries you most?

QB shakeup 🦅
Per @MikeGarafolo, the Eagles are releasing Andy Dalton.
One pass as an Eagle — a red-zone pick in Chicago — and it's over. McKee and rookie Cole Payton back up Hurts now.
Right call? #BleedGreen #GoBirds #GoBirdsDickhead

David Jiricek 😮‍💨😮‍💨

@NFLFilms R.I.P To Da coach!

[BroadStreetTake | Philly Sports @BroadStreetTake]

GET TO KNOW: Willie Lampkin 🦅
5'11", 290 lbs. Undrafted. Told he was too small at every level.
Sunday in London, he makes his first NFL start at left guard.
This is his story 🧵👇

[BroadStreetTake | Philly Sports @BroadStreetTake]

@charlieo_conn *22 — he's 22, not 21. My bad.

[BroadStreetTake | Philly Sports @BroadStreetTake]

@charlieo_conn Jiricek's the least of the worries at 0-3-2 — he's 21 and the PP was 0-for-12 before Michkov snapped it last night. Patience is the right call.

[BroadStreetTake | Philly Sports @BroadStreetTake]

@FirstTake @stephenasmith On the map? He's already there. 🦅
Lawrence: 8 TDs, 2 INTs, 111.2 rating — 3rd in the NFL, all career highs. ESPN has him #2 for MVP behind Purdy.
The test: an Eagles D that's allowed 4 passing TDs all year. London decides who's real.

[BroadStreetTake | Philly Sports @BroadStreetTake]

3x Super Bowl champion. First TE in Canton. The '85 Bears.
Philly got two years of him as a player — then watched Buddy Ryan walk out of Chicago to coach the Eagles.
"Iron Mike." "Da Coach." Gone at 86.
What's your favorite Ditka memory? 👇

RIP to a football giant. 🕊️
Mike Ditka — "Iron Mike," "Da Coach" — died today at 86.
Player. Coach. Broadcaster. Legend.
The man who reinvented the tight end and built the '85 Bears.
His story, era by era 🧵👇

[BroadStreetTake | Philly Sports @BroadStreetTake]

New Orleans, 1997-99: 15-33.
Best remembered for the boldest draft gamble ever — trading ALL of the Saints' 1999 picks (plus a 2000 1st) to take Ricky Williams 5th overall.
The wedding-dress magazine cover. 3-13. Fired.
Ditka called them "the three worst years" of his life.

[ESPN @espn]

Mike Ditka, whose legendary career as a player and Super Bowl-winning coach landed him in the Hall of Fame, has died at the age of 86, his family announced.

[BroadStreetTake | Philly Sports @BroadStreetTake]

@FirstTake @KendrickPerkins The Sixers don't need GOAT LeBron — they need 20 real minutes at the 5 with Hukporti out for the season.
Nurse floating Bron at center isn't about legacy. It's survival. Does a 41-year-old actually hold up there?

[BroadStreetTake | Philly Sports @BroadStreetTake]

@NBCSPhilly The greatest right tackle of his generation. Two rings, and the anchor of the best O-line era this franchise has ever seen.
Now the question nobody wants to ask: who's holding the edge Sunday in London — and is that era officially over?

[BroadStreetTake | Philly Sports @BroadStreetTake]

Harper: 'I'd imagine this team is going to look a lot different next year with the guys that are leaving this clubhouse.'

7 Phillies hit free agency — Bohm, Arraez, García, Sosa, Alvarado, Raley, Mayza. ~$78M off the books.

Retool around the core, or full shake-up?

0-3-2 and one constant: Joseph Woll 🧱

Three starts, three real chances to win — .929 SV% in his first two, then 24 saves in the 2-1 loss at Ottawa.

The Flyers are still the East's only winless team.

Does Woll get the net again Saturday in Boston?
