@ExpresoDepresoB@shaunlabrie Considering she didn't die in a fight I don't see how strength has anything to do with that but sure.
Also where are you getting the idea she's objectively supposed to be stronger than Kratos?
@ExpresoDepresoB@shaunlabrie "Somehow she's stronger than Kratos" when Kratos literally describes her as one of the strongest warriors he's known and she fought Thor in a 1v1 to seemingly a stalemate before. Obviously she's strong, this isn't a surprise.
@herbieblunt IIRC, in the full video she ends up really enjoying Cyberpunk despite some of the early difficulties, this was a complaint coming from having minimal time to play each day and bring overwhelmed/confused by the tutorials at the staff.
@HausenUSA@UFObuds@jambondepays6 They would if you can sell it well as a fun thing to bring people into the hobby and not as a bitter person upset that they're in your hobby
Said as someone who started in TTRPGs because of Critical Role and 5e and expanded from their
@MrTeaThyme@UFObuds@jambondepays6 Like, if you spoke to someone and they said they enjoy TTRPGs, and your response is "do you really, or do you just like 5e", you've immediately put this person off by putting their own enjoyment of the hobby now - why would they listen to your suggestions from that start point?
@MrTeaThyme@UFObuds@jambondepays6 No, I took "Are you REALLY into this hobby or are you just into the basic thing" as looking down on them for what they enjoy and how that isn't a good place to start from when trying to bring people further into a hobby.
@MrTeaThyme@UFObuds@jambondepays6 I think this framing shows why you're having so little success - you're automatically looking down on other people who could enjoy the same things as you. You start from a place of bitter negativity, and of course nobody wants to join you if that's the case.
@MrTeaThyme@UFObuds@jambondepays6 Those were already your options before, the hobby isn't dying because of overcrowding, more people join but a lower % of them are interested in the same thing as you. You still have more people available to try, and they'll be more interested if you're excited and not bitter.
@MrTeaThyme@UFObuds@jambondepays6 I don't think having more options of people to play with is a bad thing.
Previously you'd have 10 people, and maybe 5 of them would want to play the niche thing.
Joe you have 50 people, and 10 of them want to play the niche thing. Lower %, but more options
@UFObuds@jambondepays6 Hate to break it to you, but without stuff like Stranger Things or Critical Role, those people wouldn't even even be playing 5e to consider other TTRPGs
@SLadjouzi92701@sanjiifit24@maruscaler The barrier between the souls is represented as water for a reason, the Bath chapter has imagery to show Megumi sinking, and the rest of our interactions show him at the bottom of an ocean-esque floor for a reason, the bath is what caused Megumi to be in this bad a state.
@turbopisser If "success" is impossible then don't ask for a roll. Instead, consider is what is "success" in this instance.
Failing here means the nobleman finds him disgusting. Succeeding doesn't mean the noble likes him, but he does find him interesting. Success should = Progress.
