The @canadanurses certifies 22 specialties from premature babies to burns to hospice, though there are almost 100 specialties.
He wasnt saved by a trauma system
or an elaborate stroke ambulance
not by a cardiologist & cath lab
or a helicopter
He was saved by a basic, simple skill that, IMO, should be taught to every grade school student on this planet

I keep seeing ‘phew, I’m glad the NHS wasn’t overwhelmed and didn’t need the Nightingale hospitals’.
The fact is we expanded our intensive care capacity by 2251 at one point. We WERE overwhelmed. We did this with NO extra ICU staff. #Covid19#ICU#100Kvacancies
