BREAKING: The White House says President Trump is signing an executive order to lower tariffs on beef, tomatoes, coffee, and bananas.
A sudden tariff rollback on four major imports, right as his administration is under maximum pressure.
Laura Dern dropped out of college because UCLA would not allow her to take a leave of absence to film "Blue Velvet."
She gave David Lynch's script to the head of the film department in order to convince him, but he fired back at her: “First of all, if you make this choice, you are no longer welcome at UCLA. You’ll be out. But secondly, having read this script, that you would give up your college education for this is insane.”
Dern says that "today, if you want to get a masters in film at that school, when you write a thesis there are three movies you are required to study. And you know what one of them is? Pisses me off."
@mikemovies I feel like this film and "Eddington" are two sides of the same coin. Similar themes and ideas about the times we live in right now in America (though this one is placed before 'today' but is all about what's gotten us here and what we deal with daily now.)
New in PN: Trump's invasion
"The Trump admin's war on cities just entered a new, more terrifying phase. What stage of fascism is it when the president defies a court order and sends troops into a city anyway? Because as of Sunday, that’s where we’re at." https://t.co/p6VxbBnIXO
@notcapnamerica He can't see past his own nose anymore, I think. To say that the US is worse on speech when he signed a contract that says 'no jokes about the govt' says it all. Also, he's not LIVING in SA! He's only there for hours, so of course he won't feel any feedback. Very shallow of him.
Guys, BLACK PHONE 2 rips. Hands down one of the coolest movies of the year. Wild swings galore and every single one pays off. This is exactly what a sequel should be. Bigger, badder & bloodier. Scott Derrickson’s magnum opus.
