From the sidelines to the courthouse—honored to be introduced to the Tennessee Supreme Court by Judge Mark S. Norris. Football coaches know: every day is a chance to solve new problems, and now I get to bring that mindset to the courthouse every day.
From coaching on the sidelines to earning my JD—what a journey it's been! Today, I graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Law. Grateful for everyone who supported me along the way. Here’s to new beginnings! #UTLaw#ClassOf2024
Winning looks a bit different now compared to when I was coaching, but it's just as sweet. Thrilled to be a part of UT Legal Team. They are absolute all-stars.
Here’s to more victories for justice ahead!
Congratulations to our client, Krystal Brown, for restoring her voting rights! Last semester, Advocacy Clinic students Piper Given and Daniel Kilby filed a robust Circuit Court Petition for Full Citizenship Rights Restoration. This semester Brock Willis and Max Williams
Lesson 3: Adaptability. In football, we adjust game plans to respond to opponents and unexpected situations. I've learned to adapt my law school study methods and problem-solving techniques to stay ahead of the "curve." 🔄 #Adaptability#Resilience
As the semester wraps up, I want to share three lessons I learned from coaching college football that have, so far, helped me succeed (survive) in law school. 🏈⚖️ #LawStudent#LifeLessons
Lesson 2: Be Coachable. Coaches learn from each other through feedback and self-reflection. In law school, I've embraced the same willingness to listen and learn from others while also being mindful of my own growth. 📢 #GrowthMindset#Feedback
Excited to share my recently published article in #DICTA! 📰
"Is My Client's Conviction Expungable?" (page 15) explores the complexities of conviction expungements. Grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the conversation!

@TulaneLaw earlier this semester! It was inspiring to see so many talented law students with a passion for sports law. Can't wait to apply what I learned in my future legal career. ⚾ ⚖️ #SportsLaw #BaseballArbitration
@WillSantanaJD Thank you for sharing your story with the Lawyers as Leaders class at @UTKLaw. From my time at @LMULaw, I know that you greatly impacted my classmates. Thank you.
Honored to see Paul Griffin enter USF HOF! All the players, coaches, staff connected with USF football, none of it happens without Paul. Extraordinary man!!
Last night, I had the opportunity to help four clients. Each of them had inspiring stories about how they persevered. I’m so thankful that we were able to help these amazing people.
Doing justice one case at a time. The Clinic hosted another successful expungement event at the Urban League last night serving more than 40 clients! A big thank you to Judge Cerny and the Urban League for supporting this work.

@jmwilliamsintl@FOS@Rickthelaureate No way. I coached college football for 10+ years before going to law school. If you're going to pay the kids, give them their dang money.
I wouldn't want my employer putting my money in trust.
@GarzaOnTheLaw We have such a great group of clerks at @GarzaOnTheLaw. Carson and Crystal are future rockstars in the legal field. Thanks for allowing us to be a part of the team.
@joshnewberg247 First, the recruiting calendar changed. It went from recruiting being seasonal to nonstop.
Then, we got the transfer portal. It went from recruiting high school kids to free agency.
Now, we have NIL and college coaches recruiting boosters to sponsor their recruits/current…..
