Former Chatham shortstop Kaeden Kent (’23) was picked by the New York Yankees with the 103rd overall pick of the 2025 MLB Draft.
With the Anglers in 2023, Kent (@AggieBaseball) batted .329 with 22 RBI and a .405 OBP over 42 games played.
Outfielder Nolan Schubart (Chatham ’23) has been selected by the Cleveland Guardians with the 101st overall pick of the 2025 MLB Draft.
Schubart (@OSUBaseball) belted two homers and drove in 16 runs with the Anglers across 33 games in 2023.

The Chatham Athletic Association has named Dennis Cook manager of the Chatham Anglers for the 2025 CCBL season. Cook, a 15-year MLB veteran, was the Anglers’ pitching coach from 2018 to 2022.

@codball Coach Beattie certainly did a great job. I can say I played for Cookie on the 2018 team that made it to the championship, and he was very respected and loved by all of us players and I’m glad to see him returning to Chatham. I have zero doubt he’ll do well.
