@StraightBugging@freakoutsideofx She got canned after like 5 episodes. And Nancy Mckeon/Jo was literally the best one out of everyone on the show(aside from Mrs. Garrett)
@freakoutsideofx A 45 year old show like Facts Of Life was a more socially conscious show and provided more emotional scenes than Oscar or Emmy award winning shows today.
@realLeilaniKai Hi Leilani, I found this footage of you cutting a promo as women's champion to open up an episode of All-Star Wrestling back in '85. This was a great era.
@NYRfan46@mtracey It was Ric Flair who got Hulk to join WCW not anybody else. Hulk was at Disney and Flair approached him because they never did a TV match in the WWF.
@mtracey No it was buying Crockett and putting wrestling on cable in 1972. WCW doesn't even exist without him buying Crockett. And it wasn't Turner who brought him into WCW. It was Flair. None of what you typed is accurate.
@jimmykorderas He's nowhere near as important as Vince. He's kind of what Ebersol was to the WWF(Ebersol produced WWF shows too. Turner didn't). But, Turner put wrestling on dating to the 70s. Promoters booked talent to work on TBS for the national audience(including WWF).
@landofthe80s Aside from Mr.Feeney this was one of the most unfunny shows that was ever popular. Also, Shawn and Eric are the two oldest 18 year olds maybe ever.
@lucarosano3 They're trying to run set plays and Cavs aren't giving anything. It's their defense that's been pretty bad. Raptors offense comes from their defense. They're not running the fastbreak. And Cavs are getting to the rim.
@TheRajGiri Just pointing that the Hulk '85/Bret '97 comparson is a bit of a stretch to people outside the US. I'm from Toronto and can say if you were to ask people to name 1 wrestler it's Hulk(most definitely during the 1997 too). Hulk was huge here. WWF even taped shows at Brantford in 85
@TheRajGiri You do realize WCW was getting beat by WWF in 1997 right? WCW also ran Montreal in 1997 and did a bigger attendance than WWF Montreal House Show that year. Like Hulk was always bigger than Bret in Canada. Hulk drew over 10k people at Maple Leaf Gardens 25 times. Bret? 0.
@davemeltzerWON Bret also didn't draw. Warrior in early 1990 had some of the highest SNME ratings ever. Also Warrior was 30 in 1990. Bret was 34 and Raw was being taped out of a high school gym. And even then, once Hulk left. Vince went with Luger Bret wasn't Goldberg in the Summer of '98 either
