@AlexDaviesJones@UKParliament Thank you @AlexDaviesJones for raising awareness that treatment is not always straightforward. Thousands of us are suffering serious side effects as a direct result of treatment for cell changes and there is very limited help and support available. I really hope this changes ๐๐ฝ
If, like me, youโve suffered side effects from the LLETZ procedure or other cervical cell interventions then please complete the @JoTrust survey to raise awareness of how treatment can be improved. #cervicalcancer#smeartest#lletz
@DrJessTaylor This article covers one of the key side effects that we are not being warned about prior to LLETZ/LEEP surgery, nor are we believed about it afterwards:

@DrJessTaylor ๐โโ๏ธ thousands of us across the world are not believed about the horrendous side effects caused by the LLETZ/LEEP procedure. Chronic pain, endometriosis, changes in periods, loss of orgasm and libido to name a few...told daily by healthcare professionals that itโs all in our heads.
Just wanna see something...
Like this tweet if you are:
A woman
And
You told a medical professional that there was something wrong with you and they told you that it was in your head, or your were wrong... and it turned out you were right.
@BBCWomansHour What about those women (like myself) with cervical changes which are not caused by HPV? I assume they would just fall through the net if this new screening is implemented.
@hannahsmothers_ Thank you for raising awareness of some of the issues thousands of us are experiencing after LEEP/LLETZ. Fingers crossed it encourages healthcare professionals to research these side effects so hopefully one day a resolution can be found ๐ค๐ผ
@DrJenGunter If you do decide to write a piece on this, I urge you to please use your expertise and position to campaign for research into the LEEP/LLETZ side effects (long-term) so that the issues of so many women worldwide will finally be understood.
@KimiChernoby@Cosmopolitan@DrJenGunter I wish for myself and so many other women that this was just a โvagina mythโ but, sadly for us, it isnโt. Please help to push for better research into the long-term LEEP/LLETZ side effects and help to diagnose and solve the horrendous issues many of us are now living with.
Thousands of women undergo a routine gyno procedure known as LEEP every year without being informed of a potentially devastating result: the loss of their ability to enjoy sex. Cosmo investigates why doctors arenโt taking this side effect more seriously.

EVERYTHING in this article is 100% true! @Rewire_News@Cosmopolitan#medtwitter The LEEP ruined my quality of life. I feel less than a woman now. I'd rather take my chances with cancer then ever do LEEP again. https://t.co/vNLGc0butp
I cried because of the constant nausea.
Because of the burning pain in my back.
Because of the sharp pains deep inside me.
Because pleasure is not the same.
