I (finally) got some new joy-cons! My launch ones started drifting at random, so I bought some new ones. I was thinking about either these or the blue/yellow ones, the blue one is my favourite but I don't like the yellow, so I got the GameCube-ish purple and the very nice orange.
Anyway this all sucks big time and is making me think a lot about videogaming as a hobby in general.
(More positive tweets...or whatever you call them now, tomorrow, I promise)
More:
Before their closures, Tango Gameworks was in the process of pitching a sequel to Hi-Fi Rush and Arkane Austin was "looking to return to its roots by pitching a new single-player "immersive sim" game, such as a new entry in the Dishonored series".
But Arkane Lyon (the main Arkane team that made the Dishonored games) hasn't been closed down, they're still making that Blade game. Arkane Austin (Prey, Redfall) is the one that's been closed.
"Before its closure, Arkane had been looking to return to its roots by pitching a new single-player โimmersive simโ game, such as a new entry in the Dishonored series, according to the people familiar."
Anyway, this year I'm looking forward to... a lot of time wasting and energy draining RPGs :D Absolutely hate the fact that Persona 3, Yakuza 8 and FFVII Rebirth are launching within a month of each other. It's going to take me the rest of the year to go through them.
Yeah, everything else about the game is pretty great, but... 18 hours in, and I'm not sure I can continue. It's mostly an energy drain to me. So, not fun. Yes, I know, not every game is for everyone. But I really DO want to enjoy it. Sigh.
I did my annual GOTY write up on Resetera ( https://t.co/EOrakHZ4ic ), but the tldr version:
- Tears of the Kingdom is my GOTY
- Lies of P a very close second
- 2023 had remasters/re-releases of 2 of my favourite games, Metroid Prime and Persona 4 Golden. Yay!
Building that team so it's really amazing, but still leaving everything to a role of the dice? Not fun. Managing that inventory? Not fun. Dealing with a number of bugs on the Xbox Series version? Certainly not fun.
Hello. Might go back to posting a bit more videogame stuff.
Due to work (and life in general) I'm hopelessly behind on new releases. Well, I am playing Like A Dragon: Gaiden now, and enjoying it a lot. But don't ask me about other games.
