WHY are we being ignored? Seriously do our livelihoods matter less? Because it’s a creative industry? Because it’s mainly run by women? It’s not our value to the economy that’s for sure. Or our ability to create jobs. Just shocking. #whataboutweddings
Just had a meeting with a Spring couple asking if their wedding for 75 will go ahead. I just don’t know what to say anymore, I’m exhausted with it all. 12 mths of chaos for the wedding industry & now April want to know the plan. I wish I knew #whataboutweddings@scullyp
259 days since...
Couples have not been allowed to get married or limited to 15 guests
400,000 + workers could not work
150,000 + businesses without any support
TWO HUNDRED AND FIFTY NINE DAYS @BorisJohnson@scullyp@AlokSharma_RDG@RishiSunak#whataboutweddings ?!
We as a sector are simply seeking parity for weddings. Unless parity is given in these new tiers, there is no hope for couples still seeking to go ahead with their wedding through to the end of March #whataboutweddings Even in Tier 1 the wedding sector remains effectively shut.
Sign the petition to #BackYork - We believe that York's decisions should made in #York and not in a new mega Council that will ruin York's identity and heritage.

This is wonderful. Sports do need support. Is there a winter survival package for the wedding and events sector coming next @RishiSunak ?! Collectively we contribute £84bn a year to the UK economy. Employing over 1.5m workers in every constituency.
Thank you everyone. Thank you to the suppliers, the couples and all those who support #whataboutweddings for standing up tonight. We are the not-so-silent army any more and we couldn't be prouder to stand with you all.
@BorisJohnson you promised it would be all over by this autumn. Weddings are essential part of people's lives and wedding sector brings £14.7b and supports 1000s of jobs. #whataboutweddings
@MartinSLewis encouraged unnecessary refunds! These refunds drove many businesses isn’t uncertainty. The wedding industry is viable & needs support #whataboutweddings
@MartinSLewis please help the wedding industry, we have not been allowed to work in any meaningful way since March, we need a voice, we need financial support urgently #whataboutweddings
Here we are putting a face to a name! We are not just a number in your spreadsheet! We are a VIABLE business that has paid a lot in Tax! #whataboutweddings @DanJarvisMP @BorisJohnson@RishiSunak
I’ve seen countless threads on social media of summer and autumn 2021 brides postponing into 2022 and beyond. Will my suppliers have another year of trying to survive with zero income or help from the government. They are viable! Give them a chance! #whataboutweddings
@WAWofficialUK We need to be able to support our couples who are worried & want answers, but we have no answers to give. We’ve been there for them for the last 8 months, but with ever changing guidance, how do we support our couples and sustain our business? We need clarity!
