Did you know?
Cleopatra lived closer in time to the Moon landing than the construction of the pyramids.
Cleopatra was born around the year 69 BCE, and died in 30 BCE, so just about 2000 years before the 1969 first Moon landing.
The iconic Great Pyramid of Giza was build under Pharoah Khufu (also known in English as Cheops) whose reign is generally dated 2589–2566 BC, so five hundred years farther away in time.
Bonus: wolly mammoths were still alive when the pyramids of Giza were built. One tiny population endured on isolated Wrangel Island until 1650 BCE.
Just seen a headline in one of the papers, saying Boris Johnson is about to publish his memoirs. A good time to remember this superb letter written during the pandemic.
Just heard the Home Secretary stand up in Parliament and declare that "the British people support the Rwanda plan".
I'm sick of these guys telling me what I support.
I do not support the "Rwanda plan".
If you don't either, please retweet.
@MissJac19193058 And the number of particles in a bag of chemicals is a mole. If you were given a mole of pennies when you were born, you could spend a million pounds every second of your life and at the age of 100, you would have only spent 0.1% of your starting money
@MissJac19193058 Ask them if they know what a dozen of something is, they will know it’s 12. A mole is just another code word for a number, but it’s a big one, when you buy flour or sugar, you get a bag full. In chemistry we use balancing numbers to show how many bags of each we need…
Crested mynas, as many other birds, are born altricially, which means young are underdeveloped at the time of birth, therefore fed by parents. When they grow up, they have to learn that food doesn't simply jump into their beaks
