@BirstallAcad13 My favourite dress-up day of the year!! 🎸 🤘 xx

[Helen Rowland @Rowland1Helen]

Please 👀👇🏼and tune into BBC Radio Leeds tomorrow morning. We’re sincerely hoping @KirkleesCouncil will change their mind and support our application. Please retweet to show your support for our children and families. Thank you 🙏

[Focus Trust @FocusTrust1]

Our @BirstallAcad13⁩ provide our children 4-11 yrs with a great education. We want to extend our #EarlyYears by opening a Nursery. Unfortunately ⁦@KirkleesCouncil⁩ won’t support us saying there are sufficient local providers 🤔 Please see why our children need this 👀👇

[Frank Norris @FrankWNorris]

Evidence is strong that effective early years provision offered by well qualified staff provides a great transition to formal schooling. Time for a re-think, perhaps?

[Anne Pugh 💙🌈 @AnnePugh]

This is a great little school at the heart of the community which achieves great results. It should be allowed to offer local children a great start too, in a teacher led school nursery. Please support BPA's nursery application.

[Lu Shaw @LuShaw4]

Birstall Academy definitely deserve a school nursery - we are all behind you ❤️

[Kim Jarrett @kjf8525]

A Nursery would provide pupils with the best possible start.
Birstall is both proven & committed to providing its community with high-quality education. This would only strengthen the offer for the community!

[Jayde Weir @Jayde_Weir1]

Please support our small school where children and families are at the heart of everything we do. ❤️💛💚💙 There’s a huge gap in services for families of pre-school children. @KirkleesCouncil help us to help our community by enabling us to set up our own provision. @FocusTrust1

[Richard Hannam @Bidny_Hlop]

I truly believe that giving Birstall the opportunity to offer nursery places would greatly improve children’s outcomes and positively impact their life chances, setting them up for a brighter future.

[Nadia 🇺🇦 #SlavaUkraini @ChudovaUkrainka]

BPA community is in need of quality providers. The closure of F/H Sure Start Centre + poorly resourced provision means many chn start school unprepared: not toilet trained, unable to communicate their needs etc. This sets them back from Day 1, widening gaps in education /p1/

[Gemma Jim @GemmaJim1]

This is a wonderful little school. It holds a very special place in my heart ❤️💛💚💙 having it's own nursery setting would the icing on the cake for the children attending the setting.

The children of Birstall need that teacher led nurser, another chance to thrive!

[Helen Rowland @Rowland1Helen]

I’m asking everyone to please think of children first & put them at the 💜of this important decision.
Please retweet to show your support and hopefully @KirkleesCouncil will change their mind and support our application to open a Nursery 👀👇🏼

[G Potts MBE DL @CEO_GMYF]

This just doesn’t make sense from @KirkleesCouncil ??

All the benefits are clear to see and well evidenced. The govt. is encouraging this and @FocusTrust1 do wonderful work to improve the lives of young people. I do hope this gets over turned.

@CalderdaleASC

[Andrew Chadwick @AndrewIChadwick]

I wish my own children had been able to go to a school led nursery. The additional year would allow so much academically like phonics, but above all else, we know that everything happens through relationships, they could build those in nursery and maintain rather than disrupt.

[kashifashraf @k4shf]

Seriously our young people especially from
Nursery age is super important to give the children the best start in life I am proud to be on @FocusTrust1 board would welcome a conversation with @KirkleesCouncil 🙏 any help @harpreetkuppal please ? @Rowland1Helen watch video 👇

[Anne Pugh 💙🌈 @AnnePugh]

@kimleadbeater @MayorOfWY please give your support to this application which has been turned down twice by Kirklees Council. It really needs to get the go ahead, @BirstallAcad13 is ready to go!

[Richard saunders @rich_s_1986]

We really need this nursery for our children @BirstallAcad13 @FocusTrust1

[Zoe Saunders @zoe_saunders86]

Please support our school to get this nursery approved! Our children need this, it will make the transition from nursery to school so much more streamlined and take away a lot of the anxiety of starting school. Please retweet and tag all that can help @FocusTrust1 @BirstallAcad13

[Andy Jarrett @APJazza]

I wish this had been open for my own children to attend. My daughter’s transition would have been greatly improved & the excellent education she is currently receiving started sooner.

[Thornhill J&I School @thornhill_ji]

@BirstallAcad13 is an AMAZING school at the ❤ of its community where ch thrive and families are well supported. A nursery would welcome ch into this environment sooner and make a huge impact in those pivotal first 1001 days. @KirkleesCouncil @iqbalmohamedMP
