Creativity, independence and decision making in action in Little Acorns! Our construction site is used by all the children in school at play and lunch too... #early_years#outsidelearning#villageschool
We are ready for October. Although we are passionate about teaching, celebrating and promoting diversity, inclusion and equality in all that we do, all year round, October brings us the chance to 'dig deeper, look closer and think bigger.' #BlackHistoryMonth
We have been busy singing our songs for the coronation!
"Come and join the King’s parade.
Wave your flags and shout hooray.
Hear the drum and pipers play.
When the King is crowned…
On Coronation Day!"
Our new artwork, proudly displayed at school and inspired by our discussions and thoughts across Term 4. Thank you to our talented children (and Mrs Bridle!)
Welcome back to Term 5!
Our thought for the week comes from a piece of street art I came across over the holiday. Going forward this term, we will be focussing on courageous advocacy.
Our focus this week is on our Heartsmart theme which comes to an end this week. This theme has been about how we can fix things, forgive and apologise. Something which is not always easy!
#heartsmart
Our thought for this week: Is it easy or hard to show mutual respect? We will reflect on this over the week and link it to our theme for the term: Everyone is welcome here!
#mutualrespect#everyonewelcome#inclusion
This week's thought in line with our Term 4 focus of: Everyone is welcome here!
We had a great chat about this in assembly on Monday and some great ideas were shared.
