750 bikes are stolen in Victoria each year. My @UVicMBA group wants to mobilize the community to bring awareness of the problem and educate best practices in protecting your bike. How would you feel about seeing signs such as these in your community? Comments appreciated.

We live in a home with a very clear view of a public walking and bike trail, and a green space beyond it. All day long we have seen people using both areas in small to large groups , almost all of them not practicing #SocialDistancing. Stop it. You’re smarter than that.

With revenue falloff imminent for many small businesses (restaurant, retail etc), consider purchasing a GC this week (can usually be done over phone) from a place you’re a regular at to help bridge cash flow gaps. Imperfect and many other supports needed but will assist near term

@GVCC @BrookCastelsky the Victoria police crime map doesn't show bike thefts as a separate category, but maybe we could ask and find out where exactly bikes are often stolen from, and make an effort to improve the infrastructure at hotspots?
