@JuliaCutajar Oh I love Harmony day! It's such a great day to celebrate in schools. I would run an activity where students draw their hands and for each finger they write who they feel like they belong with.

A book on rubbish, recycling, and protecting our planet. What a great resource for lower primary students. This book could lead onto many discussions with students involving themselves, learning to live a sustainable lifestyle.

Another great piece of literature to be used in teaching about #SDG14. By introducing students to sea pollution and enabling them to become global citizens and think sustainability. I will definitely be using this book in my teaching. #UoNTeach #Educ4750

This book ‘The Mess That We Made’ is an excellent resource written by Michelle Lord, that encapsulates global awareness of sea pollution and environmentalism. This book enables students to think critically about the future of our planet. #SDG14 #EDUC4750 #UoNTeach

@EvePollard_ Get out, that is awesome! An interactive way to create their own ICT version of a vege garden. I really like this activity. How would you include this in your classroom?

@EvePollard_ A rocket ship, how cool! I would incorporate Art and get students to trace their shadows with materials and then decorate their shadow. Great idea for responsible consumption!

@jackmacp133 What a great activity Jack! Kind of similar but I would ask students what they could create in the game to stop any rubbish going into the ocean without affecting the environment. Students would be critically thinking ways to be sustainable for both the ocean and the land.

Primary geography should include significant outdoor learning using the local area. #Place, #space and #sustainability should be blended into geographical place-based curriculum making (Dolan, 2015)

@JuliaCutajar I love the Take 3 for the Sea program. I think this should be included once a year into schools sparking further investigation into why our beaches have so much rubbish.
