It’s a beloved historic garden. also the placement of impervious pavement will change the way water flows through the area.

I’m seeing that this is irreversible. That the only way the country will get lands like this back is if the corps/countries/individuals who buy it, donate it back. Which will not happen.

Let me get this straight, the latest pick for Surgeon General (aka the top public health official and doctor in the US) has a state medical license that’s been labeled inactive since Jan. 2024 AND never finished her formal medical residency.

it is this element of student loans that sets borrowers behind before we’ve even begun. we are told to pay interest while in school. I worked while in school, but to supplement the high cost of living in my college town.

Just made the mistake of looking at my student loan situation (I finish grad school in May). Every single repayment option has me paying over $100,000 more (some as much as $300,000 more) than I took out while paying roughly a quarter to half of my monthly take home pay.

To be sure, I have no qualms about paying back the money I borrowed for my education. What I take issue with is the burden of interest on top of that debt, that makes it so it will take me years to even start paying on the principal amount owed.

BCBS quietly increased the copay on my ADHD medication by $30 with the start of 2025. it went from $50 a month to $80.
