BROOKE LEWIS BELLAS HEALTH UPDATE & LOVE MORE
First, I am sorry I have not been on social media since November, but that is when my health started to drastically decline. As I spent another night awake in unbearable pain, struggling to move my muscles & nerves to breathe, I felt compelled to publicly share my health information & update. I wanted to post a more recent photo without retouching so I could share as authentically as possible, to try to make sense of what has happened to my body, even when doctors & others cannot “see” it, & to remind you to LOVE MORE❤️ Second, I wanted to THANK so many of you extraordinary people in my life who have continued to private message, text, email, & pray for me🙏 I have had so many questions about my health, so I wanted to address this as best I can for you. The things that have happened to my body since #covid are unimaginable💔 As you know, I had already had a compromised immune system, then 3 severe COVID infections which caused #longcovid & brought out #sjogrenssyndrome , vertigo, #autonomicdysfunction & caused my body to break down. I began having many falls that damaged my legs & spine, & now have #osteoporosis💔 I have struggled to move my muscles to breathe properly for over 3 years. I was able to function for a year & blessed to visit with family, until my bones started to fracture a year ago💔 My legs & spine never healed properly & then CRPS, Chronic Venous Insufficiency, Lipedema & Lymphedema. I was hospitalized many times & then went into severe sleep deprivation & illness anxiety💔 I can barely stand or walk on my own, cannot move my muscles to breathe, have had cartilage breakdown & bone resorption from my face & teeth to my legs, skin damage, gland damage where I can hardly see & have no working salivary glands, digestive issues & much more💔 I am cognitively impaired & am having a tough time functioning💔 I went from a healthy 118 to 100 lbs. with no explanation as I am able to eat. My body seems to not be able to keep up with my energy output💔 There’s so much more, but I hope this helps to answer some of your questions🙏 I am suffering & in so much fear, but (continuing next)…
