It was a sad day as @YRP gathered to say goodbye to a friend and colleague, Staff Sergeant Craig Heatley. He was dedicated to service and loved his job mentoring new officers as a platoon commander. I was proud to see so many of these officers there to support his family. #RIP

It is with great sadness that we share the off-duty passing of @YRP Staff Sergeant Craig Heatley.

On July 23, Craig and his wife were involved in a serious motorcycle collision in Meaford. Craig succumbed to his injuries. His wife is in serious but stable condition.

People who are proven to have both of these should have to face serious consequences as this is someone's life that can not be given back.

@LawMitskos Police are trying to find a way to test like alcohol is a driver is under the influence. Unfortunately, with this being such an accepted thing if it is being legalized it will be out of control and it will be hard to prevent from smoking and driving.

@LawMitskos People should be able to grow #marijuana at home. Part of the reason it is being legalised is to prevent the #blackmarket but people will still be able to lace #drugs and sell them if they are able to grow them at home. I feel this is going to cause a lot of issues

@LawMitskos If the #intruder had no intention of #murdering or at least harming someone he would not have gone into the house armed as he was. He knew that he might have to #kill therefore this man should be #accountable as he had known that it was possible or was his #goal

@LawMitskos The #deathpenalty is a very harsh outcome of a #crime. Unfortunately, there are sometimes mistakes in trials where years later they realize it was the wrong man so I think the death penalty is too permanent where mistakes can be made.

@LawMitskos This man did intend to commit #suicide after the shooting but could not bring himself to do this. He was in a foster home after his mother and #father #died. The #family he was staying with thought he was stable and did not see a problem, so the family did not lock the #gun up.

@LawMitskos With this case, not all of the #evidence, in this case, was shared with the public. There may be some #biastrials but depending on if it was a #jury or #judge then it will depend on bias or not. The full trial and information would need to come out in order to decide.

@AliKent19 I think that #vaping and e-cigarettes are seen as something very normal and that there is nothing wrong with it, even that it won't damage your #health so when teens see this they see nothing wrong and think it is "cool" and want to try it. This not good for #teens to see.

@KaitlynLaw7 I do believe that this was an abuse of power in this case. The #police officer had no right to kick this man in the head when there were no signs of #struggling or #abuse from the man. This was completely uncalled for.

@KaitlynLaw7 If an #adult is in their right mind and has others helping him make the decision and he feels that his life is done, or in some cases, their #illness will get the best of them and they need to end it I think it is that person and #families choice, not the #governments
