Excited to share my first, first author paper which has just been published in @eLife. We show that a micronutrient deficiency is what limits lifespan on high protein diets! Thanks to my amazing supervisors @mattpiperlab @ChristenMirth and Carla Sgro.

We're looking for a PhD student to join us on an exciting project funded by @arc_gov_au looking into the maternal gut #microbiome and the impact it has on the offspring at @MonashUni@MonashBiol

Today’s my last day at @MonashBiol before I head off to @UCLCBER for my first postdoc thanks to @EMBO 🥲 I’m so grateful to have had the most phenomenal supervisors and to have been a part of the Piper, Mirth and Sgro labs. I don’t know who will pose for my ridiculous photos now
What happens if you manipulate the major nutritional determinant of lifespan (sterols) independently of the major nutritional determinant of egg production? @BrookeZanco et al found mothers live longer and lay more eggs on high sterol diets. https://t.co/MSPdy9N4BO @mattpiperlab
#AUSEVO2021 Julian Beaman @Flinders and collabs looked into thermal adaptation in birds, particularly important for seabirds like Arctic auks. Adaptation occurs freq. perhaps due to past changing climates.
#AUSEVO2021@BrookeZanco@MonashBiol explains how protein & carbohydrate micronutrients are important for increased reproduction and lifespans https://t.co/t17FvQJgFq
