Tomorrow (10/8) is Red Sox Pride day at Brookside Elementary School! We are celebrating the Red Sox making the playoffs. Students are invited to wear their Red Sox gear or the color red to support the team. Go Red Sox!!!!

BES Spirit Week is HERE! Each day during the week of 3/1 has a special theme. Students can show their school spirit by dressing-up each day. Parents can send pictures of students showing their spirit to [email protected] & they might end up in the BES yearbook!

JiJi is thinking about the learning cycle. JiJi notices lots of SNOW outside. JiJi predicts this machine will help clear our roads. JiJi is wondering how much snow it can push at once? JiJi connects this to your shovel at home? How much snow can it push?

JiJi was feeling antsy from sitting at the computer all day. Today he wants to talk about the importance of moving your body to help your brain learn.

JiJi wanted to play some baseball/softball today. Math is EVERYWHERE in sports, can your class figure out where the math is?

Last week was tough on minutes with 2 days out of school. Let's get back on track. We've got this Brookside! Today JiJi visited the Amazon building. You could extend the comparison of JiJi and the building with: How tall will they be together? How much taller is the building?

Today JiJi's focus is all about PERSEVERANCE!
Perseverance means doing something despite difficulty or delay in achieving success.

JiJi met up with some pre-k friends and they wanted to race.
WOW were they fast! How can we help JiJi persevere?

JiJi had fun down at Fino Field, you can make some connections with students by asking if they have ever been to FIno, played sports there or even rode their bike there.
