This evening, Lagan Valley Island and Union Bridge are illuminated blue to support Sarcoidosis Awareness Month.
Sarcoidosis is a rare disease, where lumps called granulomas develop at different sites within the body. It can affect multiple organs, and when many granulomas form, they can impair the organβs function.
Sarcoidosis is often misdiagnosed and misunderstood, leaving patients feeling confused and isolated. Sarcoidosis UK works to support those affected by providing information, funding research into a cure, and raising awareness.
Councillor Nancy Eaton, Vice Chair of the Corporate Services Committee, voiced her support, stating, "Raising awareness of sarcoidosis is crucial to ensuring that those affected receive the understanding and support they need.
By lighting up Lagan Valley Island and Union Bridge, we are showing solidarity with those living with this condition and helping to shine a light on an often-misunderstood disease."

Another 3 weeks on and a total of 10 weeks later, @British_Airways still fail to respond to our complaint and continue with the excuse of experiencing high volumes π₯± tedious excuses to cover their poor customer service
@British_Airways complaint raised 7 weeks ago and are yet to have a response or any form of correspondence. Poor customer service. Holiday to Barbados ruined and British Airways dragging their heels to support or claim. Definetly our first and LAST time travelling with BA!
@British_Airways Thanks for the response David but this is the response we've had of your colleagues for the last 7 weeks! Which is now becoming a bit tedious
