SETI@Home was released to the public #Today in 1999; most part of the observational data it processed was from the Arecibo observatory and it was one of the most inspiring projects for young people of all ages

@christianhern It's not just technologies, it's policies.
A cohesive mass-transport infrastructure plan from pedestrianisation, through cycling, all the way up through bus and train (see Denmark).
Fix the smart energy guarantee for solar, return pricing to the grid is woeful.
And storage!
@IanJohnBuckley@concreted0g @g4dbn @G4GUO The first machine I ever wrote code on was a Commodore Pet. We have a lovely little collection of old machines and consoles. If you're still looking we'll give it a happy home. #6502FTW
@GnupertTBear @stepickford@PercyBlakeney63@andyanimation I said originally the question didn't have nuance so was always going be weighted to "no" based on prior.
That's why we @Polystream, now @mythicalgames , moved to command streaming, to build an orchestrated, scalable platform. The answer is yes, but not in its current form.
@PercyBlakeney63 The poll pushes people to answer based on current games and habits vs completely new experiences. We're still stuck on streaming just being a remote console not an entirely new platform.
The Mythos Foundation has officially launched! 🚀
With support from industry leaders in #web3 gaming, the goal of the #MythosFoundation is to reduce barriers-to-entry for innovative game developers wanting to build thriving #PlayAndOwn game economies.
@CloudGamer33 @jasonschreier Most inactive gamers are not buying games or paying for a subscription. Every player, while playing, requires a gaming server, they do not have millions of gaming servers.
@jasonschreier I've written about this a number of times. Replace Nvidia with Google with OnLive and the others, the problem is the same, cost per hour per user to stream games https://t.co/cVCD9NdqZw
@jasonschreier See OnLive passing. Stadia's capacity was tiny compared to consoles in market. The cost of building out and operating a platform that can only serve a few hundred thousand people at the same time was never going to make mainstream. Google spent way more to learn the same lessons.
@gaborgurbacs I have been saying this for more than a decade. 10 years in the US, needed to carry rantidene everywhere, prescribed extended courses of omeprazole. Return to UK, symptoms gone within weeks. A week in the US is enough to start flareups again.
@imrejele These are big acquisitions of big companies, requiring huge resources to create Hollywood level content. Growth in indies and other areas has never been better, no? Consolidation of large scale feels normal (started in aviation industry, look at family tree of Airbus and similar)
