When I raised the issue of the clogging of the Eastern Bypass Interchange yesterday, numerous Kenyans took it up and even suggested solutions.
One of the best was this! Kenyans have shown that without any planning, arch. or design degree, they can be able to come up with solutions.

Why are you obstructing traffic on walkways by stopping to reward a hawker who's also obstructing by selling on the road?

Kenyans must not take democracy for granted, it is precisely what allows dissent, like Sifuna’s, to exist without consequence to life or liberty.

An idea can change an industry, but for that idea to grow into a business, create jobs and make an impact, we need the right environment to support it. This is where my Startup Bill, 2022, comes in.

The Bill seeks to:

-Create a legal framework for startups in Kenya.

-Provide for registration of startups and create a database to support the startup ecosystem.

-Promote incubation programmes at both national and county levels.

-Connect startups to funding, financial institutions, research institutions and the private sector.

-Support innovation, research and development to help startups grow.

-Protect intellectual property and support startups in securing patents.

-Provide fiscal and non-fiscal incentives to create a more favourable environment for startups.

-Build capacity through training, mentorship and business support.

-Create opportunities for marginalised groups to access the startup ecosystem.

-Support job and wealth creation by enabling innovative businesses to scale.

Currently the Bill has been referred to a Mediation Committee.

This means the two Houses are working to resolve the differences between the versions of the Bill that were passed.

Once an agreed position is reached, the Bill can move to the next stage towards Presidential assent. #VIP

My family and I are organizing a Harambee to happen on 5th September but I won’t lie, I am not sure if it will be a success.
I’ll admit, I am scared not many people will show up 😭
It’s a different thing to ask people to show up in person, on a specific day, for someone they’ve only met on this platform.

I’ve also tried several mainstream media houses over the past few months, hoping they could help amplify my story further.
Most couldn’t because of their own editorial policies around fundraising appeals.😭

Can I count on you? Will you help me mobilize for two weeks? Will you rally behind me when it matters the most?

People from Kiminini! Please help!. This Margret from kiminini Tranzioa. She was staying at Lower Kabete a place called Gathiga. She was sick on Monday, taken to mbagathi hospital and afterwards referred to Kenyatta national hospital. She died Wednesday morning. She left behind three children, Daniel Wafula, Naomi and Gift. At the moment she's at Kenyatta. The children are alone.. they don't know any relative. Kindly anyone who knows the family to assist in letting them know!

Kenyans think of theft as ujanja until it happens to them. I have a pal who told me not to send designs to a printer because I’ll make a limited number of tees & see them everywhere if there is demand, without ever seeing the money.

People don’t see creative work as work that’s why they have problems paying for original or certified stuff that increases in value if anything happens to the creator.
