@hafiz_ngn Actually it really is a Sabbath trading regulation. A large store can open on Sunday; if its owner is, or the majority of its partners-in-ownership are, Jewish but in this case it may only open 6 hours between 10-6 on Saturday.

I guess you could do a very cool wash but this would just delay rather than prevent the damage.

Any detergent would lead to discolouration and degradation, and quickly if it were biological.
