@Woodywudpeck There are loads of us on the old state pension. Qualifying years were more but the payment is significantly lower than the new state pension.
Only can claim pension credit if on a very low amoutn

@TerraOrBust Labour never understand that you can't spend money you don't have.
Every time one of them speaks more money flies towards a pet project. I agree with money for the rough sleepers but really other areas need large cuts.
Otherwise we will be under punitive IMF rules.

When a state pension was first suggested the intention was to ringfence the money. But of course it was a lot of money and the governments decided to use it.
They should have invested some of the taxes.

@vandermarins Delta's rib injury is going to be a problem. She was in pain after dancing the rumba.
No way she is going to be able to do lifts. Rib injuries take some weeks to heal.

@EJWoolf Travelled across Guildford early this morning to visit my husband. I won't say there were queues at the cash machine but there were certainly 2-3 people ar each.
That time on a Saturday morning don't usually see anyone.

@mikeparry8 Anything in your freezer will only have 24 hours. Otherwise you should be ok if you have a gas hob or camping stove but electric will be first to go.
Look at foods that don't need cooking, it won't be the time to fuss about diet.
Also all need to have some cash in.
